(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The head of the department of Engineering Projects, Eng. Dia Alsaegh, said: work began on covering the interfaces after the completion of building the concrete structure. The first phase was installing these arches. The second phase is installing the Karbala tiles. The third phase includes the installing the marble and others.Eng. Dia explained: it is for the first time in the holy shrines to use the Karbala tiles of special type, the one that allow light to penetrate it, passing through it. It is considered of the addition of beauty.About the specification of the Karbala tiles and marble used in covering the arches in the interface of the expansion of the Holy Shrine, Eng. Al Saegh explained: it has been manufactured by machines of high quality, so that it can stand for long resisting tempreture. It is characterized by accuracy and plainness.Concerning the glass used in covering, he added: the glass used is of a special kind consists of double layer with holes isolating voice and heat. It is from Belgium . And the bricks are from Pakistan of precious stone called (White Onex).It is mentioned that the expansion project of the Holy Shrine, according to the engineering designs, adds to the holy shrine an area of land about 5800 m2, exploited vertically to form three floors.
